Perspectives: Navigating Countercultures

From Rage Applying to Soft Living to Corporate Villains
In recent years, we’ve seen a growing shift among employees, with tensions and divisions emerging that threaten productivity, harmony, and ultimately, the success of organizations.
One key factor contributing to this backlash is generational divides in the workplace. With Baby Boomers, Gen X’ers, Millennials, and now Gen Z’ers all working side-by-side, there can be significant differences in attitudes, priorities, and ways of working. These differences can lead to misunderstandings, conflicts, and a lack of cohesion that can impact the entire organization.
Other factors like culture shifts, return to office mandates, salary and wage discussions, all contribute to the tension in the workplace.
All of this can add up to the biggest threat to workplace productivity and harmony: a lack of engagement and motivation among employees. When people feel disconnected from their work, their colleagues, or their organization’s values, it can lead to disengagement, turnover, and even burnout.
Among all of these issues, there is hope. Join Matt Poepsel and panelists (TBA!) as they discuss the following, and help you make positive change in your organizations:
- Understanding the forces contributing to worker backlash
- Unpacking generational attitudes and priorities
- Identifying the biggest threat to workplace productivity and harmony
